By explaining grammar in French, the book aims to immerse students in the language and culture of the French-speaking world. Concise presentations of grammar are co-ordinated with examples and exercises. A variety of texts, both literary and cultural, that are appropriate in level and integrate chapter themes and grammar are included. Literary texts are suported by reading strategies and cultural readings and exercises often encourage cross-cultural comparisons. A variety of software and an instructor's manual are also available.
