<p>This is the story of one boy's passage from childhood to adolescence. In a remote sierra mountain village called San Meliton, 10 year-old Juan is already a talented potter and sculptor. When he is given the opportunity to deliver an invitation from his community to the neighboring village of San Marcos; he is anxious to take on the challenge. However, he discovers the journey to be more difficult that he anticipated, as he and his traveling companion and pet, Pancha the goat, are faced with a steep, strenuous climb, harsh weather conditions and a confrontation with a crazy mountain hermit that wants to cook Pancha, his goat on a soup. La historia tiene lugar en un aislado pueblito de la sierra llamado San Melitón y Juan, muchachito de diez años es ya un talentoso ceramista y escultor. El niño se emociona por esta oportunidad, pero descubre que la jornada es más dificil de lo que pensaba, cuando él con su cabra Pancha tienen que subir por laderas peligrosas; además se topan en el camino con un malvado ermitaño que los atrapa y quiere hacer un caldo con su querida cabrita llamada Pancha.</p>
