From the book: It is well-known to every Muslim what lies in studying the Sīrah of the Prophet (May Allah raise his rank & grant him peace) of great benefits, blessed effects, and huge fruits which are produced in the Muslim's worldly life as well as the Hereafter. His Sīrah (May Allah raise his rank & grant him peace) is the most brilliant Sīrah to purify the hearts of the believing servants. It is the Sīrah of the leader of the pious, the model example for all mankind, and leader of all the children of Adam. Studying his Sīrah is a study of the Sīrah of the one whom Allāh (Glorified and Exalted) has made as an example for His servants. As Allāh says, "Indeed, in the Messenger of Allāh (Muḥammad (May Allāh raise his rank & grant him peace) you have a good example to follow for him who hopes in (the Meeting with) Allāh and the Last Day and remembers Allāh much." [Sūrah al-Ahzāb 33:21] It deepens love for him in the heart and spreads it. The Prophet (May Allah raise his rank & grant him peace) said, "None of you truly believes until I am more beloved to him than his child, his father, and all the people." [1] The Sīrah of the Prophet (May Allah raise his rank & grant him peace) has a great impact on the servant with regards to actualize emulating him (May Allah raise his rank & grant him peace). Mainly because emulating him (May Allah raise his rank & grant him peace) is a branch of knowledge from his guidance and learning of his Sīrah (May Allah raise his rank & grant him peace). The people of knowledge, old and contemporary, have authored proses and compositions. Some of which are abridged and some are extensive. Among these writings which were intended to concise, without being extensive and exaggerated. So, this can serve as an introduction and key for the beginner to advance in its path of this blessed knowledge.

<p>The most virtuous of words - the word of Tawhīd- Lā Ilaha Illā-Allāh- will not be accepted by mere utterance on the tongue. Rather, an implementation of its fundamental principles is necessary. For example, disproving polytheism and affirming the oneness of Allāh with a firm belief and adherence to all that it entails. This is the only way can anyone be considered a Muslim or be in the fold of the people of Tawhīd (Lā Ilaha Illā-Allāh). This great word signifies the falsehood of any deity besides Allāh. To affirm any deity other than Allāh is the most atrocious aggression and most evil deviation.</p>

<p>Noble gathering, the talk in this gathering of ours is about “Ways and reasons to stay firm upon the religion.” It is no doubt that studying the likes of this subject is very important. The Muslim is in dire need of studying the likes of this every now and then. This is because the ways and the reasons that take a person to the right and the left, hinder him from good, and turn him away from guidance are of many different types. The calamities that deter (a person) from guidance come from different ways. Therefore, the servant (of Allāh) - and this is the situation- is to give tremendous careful diligence to the ways of staying firm upon the truth and guidance. Especially since the heart of the son of Adam is afflicted with affairs, which are from doubts or desires, thus turning him away and deviating him from the straight path of Allāh (The Exalted & Blessed).</p>
