	May 2012	This was my first time using Fairbooks buy back program and I am very impressed with service and fast payment. It is always nice to realize that there are company's who are as reliable as Fairbooks.
	May 2012	Back in December I sent away my books to Fairbooks. My first sign of trouble was the lengthy delay (over a week) between the time first delivery was attempted until the time it was picked up. The BBB reports that the USPS is holding potentially thousands of books for unpaid postage which explains the delay. I have sent three emails each a month apart for which they have not responded. As the others on this list I have also reported them to the ic3 with hopes of not getting my money back (which will never happen I suppose) but for this company to be shut down protecting innocent future sellers.
	May 2012	Quoted for 2 items"new condition" and was paid less than half for... no emails before payment or about price cut. first time using fairbooks, must say we are not impressed. payment was fairly prompt though.

From the day USPS delivered my books, it took five days for Fairbooks to notify me that they had sent me a check, and it took an additional four days to receive that check in the mail. They paid exactly what they quoted me, which was significantly more than what other companies were offering. I'm very satisfied with my Fairbooks experience and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

	Apr 2012	I would say that I sold my book back to them in January, but that would be inaccurate. Selling requires the exchange of goods and funds, and as of April 2012, I still have received no payment from them. If you like giving stuff away for free, having your emails ignored, and phone calls never being returned, then by all means use this company. Also, they have several outstanding Better Business Bureau complaints against them that they have yet to address. This company is a sham.
	Apr 2012	I am totally disappointed in this company. I mailed a book to them months ago and never rec'd payment. They owe me $19.82 and I really need my money or just send my book back. The saddest thing about it is I had sent books to them before and everything was fine. now this!! Owners of Fairbooks.com, please do the right thing and send my money. You know who I am because I have sent numerous emails begging for my money. I rated the site a 1 because I couldn't rate 0.

I have another story of a lost book order with no payment and it has been more than 1 month since they have received my package. Of course no responds to my emails or calls. I have complained at www.ic3.gov and contacted the Greenville Police Dept. I encourage you to do the same. Sorry if you are reading this after you dealt with "Fairbooks".
	Mar 2012	I mailed a box of books to Fairbooks 2/7/12. I have not recieved payment for the books. I have emailed them twice and have not gotten either a payment or a response from them. I will not use them again.
	Mar 2012	Do not recommend sending books to them. I have not received any payment or response to my emails. Books were delivered on 2/24 yet nothing from them. This is a very poor way to do business and I will not be sending any books to them in the future.

	Mar 2012	Sent them about $60 dollars worth of text books...over a month later I still have heard nothing and have gotten zero response to my emails or phone messages. At this point I believe they are a scam. I am contacting Amazon to point out to them that their continued association with this vendor is lending Fairbooks a credibility that they don't deserve.
	Mar 2012	Sold books to them back in November 2011 till this day (March 2012) I still haven't gotten my payment. They have received the books, and I've e-mailed them three times no response at all.
	Feb 2012	I sent in my books for pay back in the beginning of February, as per the tracking information online... it went out for delivery on February 11th, 2012 and no updates have been provided since then. It is now February 28th, 2011 and I have emailed twice with no reply. There are no phone numbers on the website and the "live" help is never online. All I want to know is if they have my books and plan on paying me. I understand it may take a while but, at least update me that you received the books.
	Feb 2012	Please do not use this website to sell back your books. They have had my textbook for 17 days now with no communication from them. I have emailed them with no response. I accept that I will never see my money and it is too late for me, but you don't have to lose money to this company too.

	Dec 2011	I've had really good experiences with this company in the past as far as timely and accurate payment. It may take a while some of the time to get paid, but that seems to be true of many of the book buyers.

Incredibly frustrating. I made a huge mistake: in my research I had verified the validity and customer service of another book buying company and then mixed that company with Fairbooks. I knew the bad reviews, made a mistake and now just hoping to get my money. Someone please tell me how you were able to call them? No phone number on their website. Any help would be appreciated.
	Dec 2011	I sent my books to Fairbooks in early July, and received no payment for over 4 months. Numerous phone calls were not returned. Email contact finally resulted in paypal payment. I'm thankful to be paid, but it shouldn't take this long or require so many contacts. I also sold books to FirstClass and Amazon and was paid quickly with no follow-up necessary. I will use these companies in the future.

	Oct 2011	I noticed a trend while reading some of these posts: nobody is getting their money (either on time or at all) and my post is no different. I sent $140 worth of textbooks to them almost two months ago and have not received anything in return. I have emailed three times and haven't heard back at all. I will never use Fairbooks again.
	Oct 2011	I did get paid, eventually, although it was on the slow side. It took a month and a half for two orders totalling less than $26.00. I emailed them when the order was a month old, and they told me the post office had held all their packages (I thought this was illegal?) and they had just gotten them and were working to catch up on the backlog. My hunch - just a hunch mind you - is that the post office held their packages because they hadn't paid their postage due bill. If that is the case, seller beware.

	Sep 2011	Attractive website, easy to use. The whole process was very simple from obtaining a price for the book, to printing a packing slip and postage paid label. I placed my "order" on 8/16, wrapped the book and mailed it the next day, and received notice that payment had been processed to my account on 9/7.

I sent them an email on 7/21/11 regarding payment and never got a response. I got a check in the mail a few weeks later. Deposited the check (almost $50) and the check bounced and I was charged $12. I have contacted them by email and phone, but have yet to hear back. I paid $12 for this company to steal my books. Worst customer service - I've never had this problem selling my books. Their rating with the Better Business Bureau is a "F" for a reason.

They said they never received the second book. What? They said, "Occasionally, USPS gives us books/parts of packages from the dead mail center in GA." Huh? USPS confirmed delivery to Greenville, SC. They said, "In that case, we usually don't receive the entire order. We receive on a weekly basis shreds/parts/etc. of packages along with the occasional book or two from USPS." Totally doesn't make sense to me. Seems like they're blaming USPS for the problem. Don't they realize that messing with the mail is a federal offense?? Apparently not. I'll never use this service again!

I take my time out to do the order and then pack it up and ship it, then I need that money? Don't send them anything.

	May 2011	I mailed my books to Fairbooks on May 13, 2011 and according to them and the USPS they received them on May 17, 2011. That was 9 days ago and they have yet to pay me. They also do not return my phone calls or respond to my emails. Not surprising is the fact that the item I sent to them has been listed on Amazon for $150.00, yet the amount they promised to pay me $33.40, has not been deposited into my paypal account. If you have any sense at all, you will not send your books to these individuals.
	May 2011	I sent in two shipments of books to "faribooks" almost a month back now. Still no check. It is a lot of money I am waiting on as well. The first time I contacted them I tried by phone multiple times and they never returned my messages. I then emailed and got a response in which they told me their phones had gotten dropped in a lake. A joke I guess? I emailed them a few more times as the wait got longer and longer and they finally told me that the PO must have lost them, but I highly doubt it as there were two separate checks. If you want to give your books away for free, I'd suggest the salvation army, not so-called "fairbooks."

	Oct 2010	Likely the worst transaction experience I've had thus far. I was excited to see a new site offering some good prices. I figured I would try them out. I sent off two large boxes, 30 books worth $600.00. I've been around enough to know to insure my boxes and I also included signature confirmation as it is a sizable order. They were sent on 9/27, received and signed for on 10/8. On 10/21, I finally thought it had been long enough that I should have heard something; so I emailed and inquired what was going on. I did receive a prompt response with a cute smiley face which I guess was meant to make me feel warm and fuzzy. The email stated "We're working hard to get your money to you." "some of our payments have been delayed""HOPE to have your payment to you sometime in the next 2-3 weeks." My grandfather always said, "you can hope in one hand and crap in the other and see which gets full first." I guess I will wait a bit more and see if they make good on payment. After 2-3 more weeks I'll try the BBB and see if they can help me get my money, or maybe small claims court. For now though I guess I will just have to think of them as F a i l b o o k s . c o m

The guys over at customer service are prompt and go out of your way to make sure you get the money you deserve for the books. There was a slight mix-up as I sent them a number of orders at once and they went ahead and credited me a little extra money for the delay and inconvenience. I can not say how much I appreciate that from a company. I will definitely be doing business with them again.
