|Jul 2013||If it were possible I'd give this company no stars. This is a major scam!|
|May 2013||I should have reviewed this site before I attempted to do business with this company. If anyone received payment, it is quite obvious to any intelligent person that it is absolutely luck. This company lacks business integrity. I recieved an email validating the acceptable condition of my books, and informing me that payment would be made. I have made several attempts to reach them. The first email was answered and I was told that someone would get back to me regarding the payment. Since then, I have not even received the courtesy of a response. I am going to file a complaint with the Indiana Attorney's office.|
i have done well into the tens of thousand withthis company over the years with-out failure they have paid on time and have been very helpfull in regards to addressing any issues. I can't be luck perhaps the books you sent were of poor quality or ere not represented properly. i don't know.
I wish you all the best.

I scored a 1 star because there was no 0 available. Moola Books has received my books in October 5,2012.I still haven't received a dime. I have sent emails tried calling and nothing...Do Not use this company. If I didn't need the cash I would ofgave my books to the Good Wheel at least the money would of went for a good cause.Don't buy a thing from Moola Books make them go bankrupt ..Let them see how it feels to wait for a check that never comes..
|Jan 2013||I gave 1 star because it won't let you leave 0. Sent books in April 2012. Now Jan. 14, 2013. NOTHING and they do not respond to emails and took the customer service number off their Web site. DO NOT USE!|
|Jan 2013||NEVER PAID! Not once.|
|Dec 2012||I chose to send books to moola4books despite the poor ratings here, because I had done business with them before without incident. BUT, something has definitely changed there, I sent books in July and haven't received payment. Nobody answers their phones or responds to online help.|
|Dec 2012||Moola4books owes me over $1300. I filed a complaint with the BBB, and they were unable to get a response. I have now filed a complaint with the attorney general. I don't know what can be done, but if anyone else is owed money, he or she may want to file a complaint as well. I think the company is still in business but is not accepting any new customers on their website. I am not sure if they are selling books on their other website, Avenue Books & Co. I think it is a real shame if this company makes a profit from those of us that were duped. Please file a complaint as it may help us get our money.|
|Nov 2012||I sent books once, got a check after a few followup emails and finally a call. The person with whom I spoke acted as if it was an unusual oversight so I sent another box of books a few months later. So far, since Sept 20 when I sent the books, I have sent probably 20 emails and left 10 or more voicemail messages. No response at all. None, zip, nada. Not even "Forget it, we are not going to give you anything."|
|Oct 2012||Sent books on September 13, 2012 (order No. 64591) never received check. Sent 2 e-mails and got NO RESPONSE.|
|Oct 2012||I sent 4 orders on May 22nd and still have not received one of them - the others I practically had to beg for my money and it took over two months on them and they do not answer e-mails or answer their phone. I will NEVER send any books to them and do not understand why they keep taking them if they cannot pay people.....|
|Oct 2012||that last comment is bunk, they haven't treated anyone right since they started business|
|Sep 2012||I want to thank Moola4books.com for their prompt attention when there was any questions on my order.|
|Sep 2012||My story of dealing with Moola is very long from first complaining and having all my orders rejected (I then paid for their return and sold them with no problem elsewhere). And then trusting the company again until they owed me over $1,250.00. I sent a kind note and was promptly apologized to by a very kind secretary and was send 45 checks in the mail, a little over $1,000. They still owe me about $400 and will not respond to inquirys and emails. Please avoid this company. I am happy I did get something for my effort, but please save yourself the difficulties of dealing with a company who obviously not able to manage their business properly. If you haven't lost yet, I am sure you will.|
|Sep 2012||DO NOT USE MOOLA4BOOKS!!! It is a scam! They just want your books, once they have your books they do not give you the money for them. I have been waiting over 100 days for a check for over $100, and I found out its not going to come if I do not do something about it sooner or later. I would NEVER use this site again, its absurd of how long of a wait I have been waiting. They WILL NOT answer any email or phone calls even though I told them in the email I am getting authorities involved in this case if they do not refund my money or books. So I just filed a complaint to the Indiana BBB hopefully they can do something about that!|
|Aug 2012||Do not deal with this company. They do not answer emails or phone calls. We finally got our money after we filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Indiana. We also filed a complaint with the attorney general. We got our money right away after Moola was contacted by the BBB.|
|Aug 2012||Sold 158.00 worth of books. Customer service agreed they arrived 6/25...so does post office. So far, 8/22/2012, no response or payment. I filed complaint with the postal inspectors for mail fraud, as package was delivered by post office, better business bureau of Fort Wayne, and with their internet hosting service, as the website still offers to buy books.|
I'm simply tired of waiting to get paid for my books. I emailed the company several times with delivery confirmation information included that showed when my books were received at their company. That finally got their attention and they marked them to be paid over 30 days ago and still nothing. I just don't understand how a company can still be in business with POOR customer service. I'm guessing that I'll be contacting the Better Business Bureau in Indiana to see if they can assist me with some answers.
|Aug 2012||DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!!! I have sellbacks from February that have not been paid. Multiple contacts, no replies to emails, voicemails, etc. I contacted the Indiana Attorney General's office and the Better Business Bureau and filed complaints with both. Contact their local company, Avenue Book & Company, Fort Wayne, Indiana (at least they answer their phone).|
|Aug 2012||They still have two of my orders and are yet to respond to emails and phone calls. They pay well for books, but very bad customer service.|
|Aug 2012||I would not recommend using this company. I had 60+ orders from January through May that were not paid. After numerous promises to pay and still no checks I finally filed a complaint with the Indiana BBB. Luckily for me they promptly paid after the complaint as filed. Trust me, the extra couple of bucks per book is not worth the hassle.|
|Aug 2012||They have had my order for almost a month, and it is still listed as "pending" The phone number they provide is a joke, no one ever answers, and no one calls back if you leave a message. Which makes it the same as the email option, which no one ever replies to either. They have my books (unless they have already sold them), and they clearly have no intention of sending my money. Honestly, Bookscouter needs to remove them from this site.|
"Our Customer Service Team makes every effort to answer all email inquiries within 1-2 business days." - Moola4Books.com
I cut that statement from their website. I would be happy with a response in 1-2 weeks!
I truly believe their goal is to hold your payment long enough that you either forget you placed the order or past away. So, do not, I repeat, do not sell your books to Moola if have a memory related condition or your elderly.
|Jul 2012||Two years ago, I had a wonderful experience with Moola4Books (and I left correspondingly positive feedback); but something seems to have happened to Moola4Books in the meantime... and it's not good. I sent two books to them in June, and FedEx confirms that the books arrived on June 13, but my account has been marked "pending" ever since... despite several phone calls (which always go to voice mail, never to a live person) and several e-mails. I hope they get their act together, or else I'll have to warn people away from them, from now on.|
|Jul 2012||Moola4books has three of my orders. One dating from late May. I have emailed them twice, and tried calling once. The number I tried to call was off their website, and apparently it is out of order. I live in Michigan, so I know it didn't take long for my books to get to Indiana. Terrible customer service, and promptness of payment. I will not use them again, and suggest nobody else does either. Bookscouter is now helping me try to get in contact. My next step is the Indiana Better Business Bureau or Attorney General. Use one of the preferred customers. Ridiculous.|
|Jul 2012||I wish there was a no star rating. They owe me just under $500 for orders dated back as far as May. I have repeatedly called with no response, I have emailed with again no response. Today I called the toll free phone number only to find it disconnected. Unbelievable, I just filed a complaint with the BBB of Northern Indiana- Hopefully this will evoke some sort of response.|
|Jul 2012||Why do you have one star. I would like to mark zero stars. They do not respond to emails. They do not send you money for books. I strongly recommend that you remove Moola from your list of vendors.|
I would like to advise all who are having trouble collecting from Moola4Books to contact the Indiana Attorney General's office at www.indianaconsumer.com
Moola4books is an Indiana company. I was appalled by their horrible service and even more by their outright lie to the Attorney General's office in response to my complaint. However, payment was made within days of my filing a complaint. Don't let them get away with this. Don't go away. File your complaint.
|Jul 2012||Sent my books last month. No a word from the vendor( i have tried). Its been four weeks. Please send my money and you will never hear from me again.|
|Jul 2012||I received an email about a book having an incorrect ISBN. I typically take the ISBN directly from the book, so have some question as to the validity of this. However, I certainly make mistakes. The email said to contact them about what I wanted to do with the book, so I did. SEVERAL times and still have not gotten a response, There is no excuse to ignore customer emails as seems to be a problem with several other people. They are running a business. The email came from customer service. Now I am past the 30 days in which they will send the book back, which will probably somehow be my fault. Will not do business with this company again.|
|Jul 2012||I had some initial problems with Moola, waiting long for payment not responding to emails or voice messages, but finally I was able to contact them via bookscouter, and since then they have been relatively quick in payment. I got 2 payments from them this morning, the first shipment of books I waited 2 weeks for payment, the second shipment I only waited 4 Days!!! They do offer higher prices on some books, and will often buy books other buyers will not buy. I am sometimes hesitant to sell to them as I am not sure how long I will wait, but they have always paid me what was quoted and if they continue fast payment as I received today, they will definitely be one of my favorite buyers.|
I had several sucessful transactions with this company and did not listen to the previous written comments. No money, no communication, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
I sent in my books on May 8. They were received on May 11. Left over a dozen voicemails and e-mails to customer service during business hours, after hours, etc. to no response.
After 2 months, it took me filing a BBB complaint to get a response. Money has now been sent, but I don't think outside of this they would have touched my case.
|Jul 2012||I have emailed them and tried calling them several times. I sent my book in march and april 13th i got an email the my payment was issued but still have not got the money for my books. They will not reply to my emails either. I have used other places on the internet to sell books and have always got my payment within 4-5 days after sending my books to them. This is the worst place to sell books and I will never go through them again.|
Never use Moola4Books. I sent my books to the company on March 26th and the company received the books a few days later. However, over a month passed and they never updated my account or sent me payment, they just left my account as 'pending'. I contacted them on May 8th to resolve this matter and sent them the tracking number I had fortunately saved from FedEx. I then received an email that the order had 'processed' and that a payment was sent on May 14th. However, by May 30th the check had still not arrived. I contacted customer service and they said that they would stop payment and reissue a new check.
However, over 3 months later and I have still never received the reissued check or any response from customer service. (I have emailed customer service 6 times between June 5th and June 28th regarding payment.)
The behavior of this company is shocking. I can not believe that I have still not received payment for the books that were correctly mailed and received in March.
|Jun 2012||I sent them a Buyback order more than a month ago. Since then, nothing. No word from them and no response to 4 emailed inquiries. I'm not sure there is anyone there! Are they still in business?|
|Jun 2012||I have used this company over 40 times. Its always been that I had to email Rick directly to get paid. They now have a total of 6 different shipments of mine- some fedex and some usps (NEVER send to them without delivery confirmation!)and while it usually takes a few days of emailing to get paid, this time its taken over 2 and still no response or change in status. This company just keeps getting worse, they no longer have the free $5 code and every shipment gets paid slower. I think its the end of the line with me using this company. Be warned, its a very slow process where you have to harass to get your money. I have decided the few extra bucks I get from them is no longer worth it.|
After my order was received on 3/28/12 I was informed that my order was received. As of today, 6/25/12, I have yet to receive my check. After phoning them about not receiving my check, they informed me my check was mailed on 4/11/12. I have sent them additional e-mails and have had no reply. I have tried phoning them and have been disconnected when I speak to a person. My check is not hugh, only $53.48, but I would appreciate receiving it.
can't believe they are still in business.
stay away people if you want some cash for your books.
|Jun 2012||Moola4books has not paid me for several orders!|
This company is horrible. STAY AWAY from them.
After almost 5 months, we have not received any payment for our books. We sent them in at the end of January and received a confirmation mid-Feb. After months of attempting to contact them (to no avail) we finally received an email stating our order was changed from received to "to be paid". Months later, nothing. We eventually received an email stating our payment would be promptly sent - a lie. To this day, we have received nothing from them and horrible communication/customer service. We have now resorted to contacting the Better Business Bureau in an attempt to resolve the issue or aid in shutting down this company.
|Jun 2012||I have used the company many times and have had to call for payment several times. That was okay with me, because they do offer higher prices. However, I have 5 orders that date from January to Feb. I left a message and my status was changed from Pending to Paid. However, I never received the checks. So I contacted them again. I received an email that they would check with accounting and re-issue the checks. That was over a month ago. I have tried calling, but no-one ever answers. I have tried email with the same luck. I figured the company was going out of business, but they are still on Book Scouter, so I am hoping that I might still get paid.|
|Jun 2012||I sent 10 books worth approximately $52.00 to Moola4Books.com because they offerd the most moola on the Internet. Within a few days, I boxed and shipped my books. I tracked my shipment via FedEx and the shipment was received by them within a couple of days. After 2 weeks, I started to get worried when the status of my account would stay at "pending" and not change to "received". I sent Moola4Books.com an E-mail trying to find out the status of my order. I never recieved a response from them. I called the customer service number and received an answering machine. I went on BookScouter.com and read all of the terrible reviews and comments that people had written and wondered if I would have been better off throwing my books in the trash. However, on the third week after they had received my order I called customer service praying that someone would answer. I spoke to Cindy and she stated that they had indeed received my order and the money would be sent to my Paypal account within 15 minutes. After about 10 minutes, I checked my Paypal account and the money had been deposited. This site does offer the most money for your books. However, do not sell to them if you are in a hurry for the money. The proceess takes almost a month to get your money and the customer service is sporadic. Sometimes they answer the phone and sometimes they don't. I got lucky. I hope you do too!!|
|Jun 2012||awful... have filed a compliant with the better business bureau... they are part of avenue books in fort wayne, in and claim to be an accredited member of the better business bureau... not paid for several orders going back to january...|
If I could I'd be leaving ZERO star.
This company used to be okay (not good, but passable) but by now it is almost non-existing. They don't confirm arrival of packages, don't answer e-mails (2 in 2 months) and don't answer phone calls or call back after messages. Must be really busy or they really don't care... I'm guessing the second one... Do not sell them anything, ever, if you care about money, service or customer care. If you just want to mail books for free and for fun, go ahead... but it would just make more sense to donate to your local library than to sell to Moola.
|Jun 2012||Just an awful company. Mailed the books on 5/19/12, same day I accepted the offer, and delivery confirmation shows the books as delivered on 5/25/12 (USPS Label Number: 0311 2550 0004 0461 4909). It is 6/10/12 and no payment received. Moola Books is terrible and I will never use them again.|
I do not advise anyone to use this company.
I sent my book to Moola4books back in Jan 2012. In February I received an email that payment was to be sent. I never received it. I emailed them several times and no response so I contacted the BBB. Since April I have been back and forth through the BBB with Rick R, the co-owner and he has promised to pay me. I did finally receive a check after the 2nd contact but it was dated for the original Feb date and it had a 'not good after 60 days' and the day they sent it was after 60 days so the check was no good. I have been promised again to receive a check within 2-5 business days and it has been 8 and still no check. I have responded back to the BBB asking now for the check to be overnighted and to receive a tracking number so we will see what response I get to that. 6 months of this crap for $43.80... Now it is more of the principle of it and not the money.
|Jun 2012||(Order #51533) I sent them my books in Jan2012 and I still haven't seen my check yet as of today (June5th). I wrote emails to customer service in April and someone promised to find my check, but I still have not heard back from them. I tried calling customer service but have never been able to talk to a real person.|
|Jun 2012||I shipped 4 books out in one box to moola4books because they had good prices and an informative website (hence the 2 stars). I used delivery confirmation and know they received the books on May 25. However, my order still shows "Pending" even though they say they will update that as soon as they receive the books. I tried calling them but always just get to voice mail after a short hold. I'm going to keep trying since this totaled $78.60 and I need that money.|
I sent a book in January 5, 2012..
Today's date is JUNE 5TH,2012 and still NO PAYMENT.
I have called the customer service 6 times, and sent 3 emails.
Each time they assure me that my order will be processed and check sent immediately. Still waiting on over $50.
NEVER USE MOOLA4BOOKS
|Jun 2012||I have sent 2 packages, one in March and one at the beginning of May. I have used them before and never really had a problem until now. I have tried emailing as well as calling customer service with no response. Hopefully I hear back from the latest inquiry.|
WOW! I wish I would have read these reviews before I ever sent my books to this place!
I have been contacting them through email several times, since that is the only way of contacting anyone. There customer service phone number always goes to voice mail, by the way, so don't even try calling!
Now on the upside, when I email them about the status of my payments, they do write back right way. A woman name Betsy always response back to my emails. But that is the only positive experience I have had. Everything else is a NIGHTMARE!!!!!
First of all I sent in my books in February of 2012. I knew that it would take some time for them to get back to me with a payment, so I was in no rush. Until 3 MONTHS PASSED BY !!!!
That's when I started to worry. I had to write them for a status on my order. There was never a confirmation email that they received my books, or that they had looked them over. It wasn't until I wrote them that I got that information. You basically have to write them to remind them that you still exist!
I log into my account through their website to try to see if I would see some sort of progress with my order, but when I do all I see is the same info that was there when I mailed the books out in FEBRUARY!!! It's a big waste of time.
I understand that these types of orders take time, but this company should at least keep their customers up to date with their orders just like any other order that you would make online. I buy things online all the time and I have never had this issue before. Its a shame!!!
To anyone who wants to use this company to sell their books think again and DON'T !!!!
To those who are still waiting on their payments, KEEP WAITING, I still have not received my payment, even though they say it's in the mail or we will sent it out to you this week "blah blah blah" that's all I hear. All I know is they still own me over 100 dollars!!
There are no words to describe how disappointed I am with this place. I have tried to be as polite as possible, but I'm at my breaking point!!!
Good luck Everyone! Hope we can all find I better Company than this horrible, unprofessional Moola 4 Books !!!
|May 2012||I sent books to them over a month ago and have yet to hear back from them. I've sent two emails without response. I guess I should have trusted the ratings on bookscouter.|
|May 2012||After reading the comments I thought I'd still try this vendor out and it was a mistake. I sent the shipment back in January '12 and have yet to receive payment. Like other people I have sent emails and they go unanswered. If there is a customer line to call I'll try that. I know they got the books because I got a confirmation from them. Listen to the feedback and don't use this vendor.|
|May 2012||I have always had great success with Moola4books even though i had to wait for payment. they were very responsive when I contacted them....However, I now have 12 outstanding orders and I have sent many emails and phone calls, yet there is not response from them. If anyone has insight please let me know. I will cease dealing with them until I receive payment. Please catch up with old orders.. Moola is expected when books have been received by you. thanks|
Moola finally paid! However, still only paid for 1 of 3 shipments...
On top of that the shipments went out beginning end of jan 2012. still have a payment left? yeah, so if Moola could fix this... they would be a great vendor... I still know another sales person that is still owed over $1300.00 unpaid since january. Seriously? are they just reinvesting the money and not paying people until they raise a stink... what gives?
|May 2012||I have sent two boxes to this company with no payment as of yet. I have tried to contact them but no response. Will think twice before I send another box to them.|
|May 2012||Please notice that every review since January is one star. I sent a shipment in January and still have not received payment, despite many e-mails. Attempted phone contact but customer service doesn't answer. I'm guessing this company is going out of business.|
1/26/12 Order submitted
1/27/12 Mailed 2 books
1/31/12 USPS confirmation of delivery to Moola4Books
2/8/12 E-mailed Moola4Books - what is status or books
2/9/12 Moola4Books confirmed receipt of books
2/15/12 E-mailed Moola4Books - When will "pending" status be updated to "received".
2/22/12 Moola4Books reply - "Your order has been set to be paid and will be paid asap."
3/11/12 E-mailed Moola4Books - What is status of payment
3/21/12 E-mailed Moola4Books second time - What is status of payment
4/4/12 Left Voice message for Moola4Books - What is status of payment
5/4/12 E-mailed Moola4Books third time - What is status of payment
5/4/12 Left Voice message for Moola4Books second time - What is status of payment
5/4/12 E-mailed Bookscouter- concern about not getting paid
5/4/12 Bookscouter e-mailed back - would forward my problem to Rick
5/4/12 Bookscouter e-mailed back (from different person) - "If you leave them negative feedback at the link below, that will start a
correspondence with Rick, the owner, to get payment processed sooner. Its unfortunate that you have to do that, but that is the way that their company chooses to operate."
I am still waiting for payment. I would suggest that those "users" who have nothing to do but chase down payment from Moola4books, continue using this vendor, but for the rest of us who expect payment when supplying a product, STOP.
|Apr 2012||I sent 2 boxes on 3/5, but the local USPS wouldn't let me add insurance or tracking. Last week I sent a msg to the vendor but didn't receive a response. Bookscouter reps contacted the vendor for me and I immediately heard back from Rick, one of the owners. My boxes were indeed received and are being processed but, more importantly, he seems really interested in discovering what went wrong and correcting it. If the USPS is denying other people tracking, it's creating a no-win situation for vendors since neither they, or their customers, can track errant packages. If insured packages are indeed treated better than uninsured ones, the problem may not be with the vendor at all. I will definately try them again. But I'm going to shop post offices until I find one willing to take my money and add tracking and insurance to my package. Thank you, Bookscouter staff and Rick for your prompt assistance.|
|Apr 2012||This is my second go round with this company. The first time I was paid eventually so I thought they had their act together. Still waiting from any response or payment from books sent 3/25. I've written to them several times with no response or payment. Don't waste your time with this company. Its not worth it!|
|Apr 2012||Yep, this was a bad idea. I mailed out my order on 3/22. On 4/16, I emailed the vendor. On 4/20, I called their customer service line and was shuffled to voicemail. After trying again, I went ahead and left a voicemail message. As of today, no return call, email, or payment.|
