| Feb 2010 | I sent three books to CashMoneyTexts and got the full price quoted via PayPal within 9 days. I did, however, have to pay a PayPal fee which cut into my profits, but not by much -- in the future I may request a check. It's also worth noting that, according to an email I received from them, CashMoneyTexts has no minimum buyback amount (unlike other textbook buyback companies that require sellers to send $10-$15 worth of books per package). That said, people should make sure to look at their condition requirements to make sure they will accept the books that are sent their way. |

| Nov 2009 | I took a chance on this company even though there aren't really any reviews on them on bookscouter. I sent them 3 books quoted at $23.68. I mailed the books on 11/05 and just got paid 11/17, so overall 12 days for the whole process. I shipped the books in a box as was asked and mailed within 48 hours as required. They did pay postage. I was paid the full quoted price, BUT, there is a but, I read the comments they left on my account. They claimed when I logged in and checked my sales history that they book(s) I sent did NOT meet their condition guidelines, but they decided to pay me just this once. Now this really ticked me off, because all of the books I sent were in PERFECT condition. 2/3 books I sent were in new condition and the third one was in excellent used condition. Keeping in mind these are all textbooks and have been handled by students. I feel that stating this was harsh because I shipped the books in a quick manner, had to buy a box to ship them in, and the books were perfectly fine. I would never send anyone anything in poor condition, and I have decided this is probably the first and last time I send them anything. The reason being is if my best is not good enough, then what is? The purpose of re- selling used books is they are USED. The moment you take it out of the bookstore, it is used. I think they set their standards way too high considering they are paying the consumer 1/5 of what half of the books are worth. I am still giving them 4 stars because they paid, but if I had to deal with them again, I probably wouldn't. If you're considering dealing with this company, sleep on it, and then triple check what you're sending. | |
