	Mar 2012	Dont believe the high ratings on here. this company rips people off. sent books in that were brand new and wrapped the way that they wanted and they said something was wrong with them even though i sold them as used. I didn't receive pay for them. I would suggest going through places like amazon that will return the books if they can't accept them.
	Mar 2012	I have always believed that no one can beat Amazon.com. I cannot believe there is actually another company out there that provides such outstanding customer service. My experience with AbeBooks has been an all-around pleasant experience, to say the least. AbeBooks gives you personalized service and treats you like you are a valued customer. They are very quick to respond to your questions/concerns. All the books I have purchased from AbeBooks are in better condition than described. I cannot say enough good things about this company. They have demonstrated that they truly care about their customers. You just cannot get better quality or better service any where else. And, the price of the books are so low it almost makes me feel "guilty"! AbeBooks is the bookstore for me. So happy I know of its existence! Thank you so much for the excellent caring service and the high quality books. You are so very highly recommended. (The only bookseller for my family, friends, and me.)
	Jul 2011	Concerning AbeBooks' Textbook Buyback program: I sent in 141 books in 4 different shipments. I was paid the quoted price on all but 1, which had a manufacturer's error. Choosing the PayPal option, I was paid the same day as the check-in. I was skeptical at first, but I was pleasantly surprised when they delivered on their quotes in a very timely manner. I would definitely do business with them again.
	May 2011	ABE BOOKS IS A TOTAL RIPOFF! I clearly entered the ISBN and specified that it was a teacher's annotated edition and after they got my book, they said I sent them a different book than I specified. They quoted me $44 and only paid $18! I'm usually not difficult, but this was a brand new book that I paid $150 for, and I only used it for a semester. Seriously, be warned, don't use Abe Books!
	Apr 2011	I sent one of my textbooks to Abebooks. It was a used book that I bought and didn't actually get to use it. It's a little bit old-looking but the condition is still good. However, they refused to pay me by saying the book is water damaged and stained (and it's not when I shipped the item).

	Oct 2010	I will caution other that you probably will not receive the full amount of money you are quoted. Their service is quick and payment comes quickly, but with three boxes of books that I sent, many being brand new books, I was emailed that some of the books were too used to give the full amount of the quote, even though many of these books were brand new never read books. Unless the three boxes were damage in shipment, I question just how honest they were with me.
	Sep 2010	I sent one of my used text books to Abe's Books. The communicated via e-mail, telling me it arrived, it had been checked in, and then that the check was issued. Great service, will use them again.
	Sep 2010	I sent them 2 brand new books straight from a shipping carton, and they reduced my payment to used. This is a quote from the e-mail I received in response to my complaint: Condition evaluation is entirely under the discretion of our buyback staff members. Our buyback staff is as lenient as possible when making their evaluation, but one slight bend to a corner or shelf wear on the cover of a book will render it to used condition. Even if it is still in plastic wrap, a corner can be bent or the cover scratched. I will never use them again.

	Jun 2010	My buyback total was $39.01. I got an email that I would be receiving $26 and my payment was only $22.39. They claimed they did not receive two of my books. Impossible since they were all in the same box. I contacted customer support. I will leave better feedback if they resolve this issue to my satisfaction.
